“Honey, I’m gonna snowball Jacqueson”
“Jacqueson” is a country song written by Jerry Leiber and Billy Edd Wheeler and made popular by Johnny Cash and June Carter on their Folsom Prison concert album. The song lyrics explore the complex relationship between a mismatched married couple, whereas one expects the other to give up his wild lifestyle and the other just keep acting like a dense, stubborn motherfucker. I absolutely love the Folsom Prison version, which is filled with a lot of cute play-fighting. You’d almost expect Johnny to throw in some death threats between verses to bring it down to earth.
“One of these days I swear I’m gonna leave the gas on, uh huh huh.”
June: “Well, go on down to Jacqueson; go ahead and wreck your health.
Go play your hand you big-talkin’ man, make a big fool of yourself,
You’re goin’ to Jacqueson; go comb your hair!”
Johnny: “Honey, I’m gonna snowball Jacqueson.”
June: “See if I care.”
Anybody know what’s a jaypan fan?
